Introduction to Beekeeping Workshop Offered

The Wayne County Beekeepers Association and Penn State Cooperative Extension in Wayne County are pleased to offer a free three hour "Introduction to Beekeeping" workshop on Saturday, February 9 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Wayne County Visitors Center, 303 Commercial Street in Honesdale. Anyone with an interest in bees and honey production is encouraged to attend.

Topics to be covered during the workshop include: getting started in beekeeping, hive management throughout the year, equipment needed, and sources of beekeeping equipment. The workshop will be led by Charlie Kinbar, PA State Bee Inspector and president of the Wayne County Beekeepers Association.
