4-H Wiggles & Wags

4-H Wiggles & Wags

 

The Wayne County 4-H Program will sponsor a series of Wiggles & Wags workshops during the month of June. 

All dog loving 4-H members and adults are encouraged to participate.  Enrollment in the “dog” project is not required. 

Participants are encouraged to attend all three workshops leading to the Round-up/show that will take place at the end of the trainings.

Spectators are welcome too.  There are some requirements that must be met to participate:

1)      Animal must be 12 weeks or older.

2)      Must have proof of Rabies, Distemper and License.

3)      Must have buckle collar and leather or nylon leash (6 ft)

4)      One dog per participant.

5)      Participants’ animals should attend all 3 clinics (females in heat are excused)

6)      Registrations accepted on a first come, first served basis with preference given to members carrying the project.

 

The trainings will take place at the fairgrounds at 6:30pm each evening.

The schedule and focus for each evening are as follows:

 

                *  Monday, June 9 – Grooming & Showmanship

                *  Monday, June 16 – Agility - Practice Showmanship

                *  Monday, June 23 – Obedience Training -  Practice Showmanship & Agility

                *  Monday, June 30 – Round Up – G&S, Agility, Obedience Classes

 

Workshops will be presented this year by Phil Meagher, Donna Mercado et al who some might remember from

The Explorer’s Field Trip to the Great Pyrenees Dog Show last year.

 

Please pre-register with the extension office at 570-253-5970 ext. 4110 as soon as possible if you plan on attending.

 This will ensure that we have enough materials to go around.
