Penn State Cooperative Extension in Wayne County will host a 4-H Regional Driving Clinic on June 25 at the Lake Equestrian Center in Lake Ariel, PA. The featured clinician is Samea Baker. Ms. Baker is an American Driving Society Judge and Technical Delegate in both Pleasure Driving and Combined Driving. She has judged many horse shows for all disciplines of driving and currently holds a USER ‘r’ card. She has also shown many champions at open carriage shows, including Devon and has been long listed for 2003 and 2005 US World Pony teams.
The clinic is limited to 20 horses and carts and is open to adults and non-4-H youth as space allows. Clinics may be canceled due to insufficient entries or unforeseen circumstances. Clinics begin at 5:00 p.m. and conclude at dark. Late arrivals accepted until 6:30 p.m. Please indicate late arrival when you register.
Clinic fees: $10.00 4-H members with animal and cart
$15.00 General public with animal and cart
$ 5.00 Spectators.
All monies are payable at the door. Verification of current rabies vaccination and current negative EIA status (coggins) is required. Attendees will learn to prepare, harness and drive, proper turnout and safety techniques and 4-H driving rules and procedures.
